Title: Loved this
Review: I’m usually terrible at writing reviews but I had seen the ads for the 2nd book so many times. I was not expecting much because those ads usually are not my friend. This book was so good. I finished it so fast and am immediately jumping to book 2! The MMC was so dang cute 😍 . I loved the relationship with the family. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Review: First off, it was good and if you like mafia romance, I’d recommend it. So, why only 3.5 stars? I was continually lost with the families and all the deals and plans and mafia discussions. I’ve read many mafia books so I don’t think it was my lack of comprehension skills that was the problem. It was wordy and used words and acronyms that were not familiar. That aside, I liked the characters and enjoyed the relationship between Matteo and Sera.

Review: I love finding new to me authors, especially when the book I find is exactly the genre I’m looking for. Scorned Heir is the first book in the Scorned Fate series and focuses on Matteo De Lucci and Seraphina Moretti. Both heirs to crime families, both walking the thin line between love and loyalty.Victoria Paige did an amazing job of creating a world with multiple crime families and characters you can’t wait to learn more about. If you are looking for a syndicate series, you will not be disappointed in the Scorned Fate Series.

Review: Spoiler Review.Loved the characters and dynamic of the families. Plot was really good and spice was there. Not a lot just enough. I would have given this 5 stars for the love story, if I wasn’t so confused on the archer group and the mob family dynamic. I felt like I was reading the book out of order and missing something.

Title: The DeLucci Obsession continues 😍
Review: OMG, Matteo and Sera were perfect for each other. Matteo is the oldest son of Cesar DeLucci and Ava McGrath. Cesar and Ava are the main characters of DeLucci’s Obsession, set in 1995 (if you haven’t read it yet I highly recommend, I just did a reread before reading Scorned Heir). Sera (Serafina) Moretti is a “mafia princess” from Chicago, her Uncle Luca is the current head of the Moretti family. He is Carlotta Moretti DeLucci’s half brother. Carlotta is married to Matteo’s uncle Paulie and their son is the official head of the DeLucci family. Honestly, it’s hard to keep a lot of the mafia families straight.Sera has a bit of a crush on her best friend Ivy Wu’s older brother Daniel. Daniel and Matteo have a lot of business interests together. Matteo suggests “fake dating” Sera to catch Daniel’s attention but quickly realizes that his feelings are anything but fake. Unfortunately he keeps things from Sera and when she finds out she washes her hands of both Matteo and Daniel.Mafia issues keep the suspense level high, this story never drags. Love how Ms Paige twines characters from other series in via family connections. If you are familiar with her Rogue Protectors series (the first one I read) you will realize that Kelly McGrath James of The Wife Assignment is related to Matteo’s mother. If you haven’t read that series, or her other series (Guardians, Always and Misty Grove are a few) I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed!

Review: I enjoyed that the plot of this was quite different from other mafia or fake dating stories. If you read alot of this genre and are looking for a not so formulaic plot, this is a good start. Matteo is fine. Could have used more coming from the Daniel story line.

Review: I enjoyed the book and the characters.I ended up looking at the family tree at the back of the book as I was getting confused with all the characters and who was who and how they intertwined.It lost a bit of humph in the middle with a bit too much moaning from Sera.The ending was good,the secondary characters were good and I look forward to reading their stories.

Review: I enjoyed this book and both characters. Had a good storyline and chemistry between Sera and Matteo was bubbling and off the charts at the end. With books like this I always would like to see into the future with them. No bonus scene so I’m a bit disappointed.
