Lisa Vanderpump Opens Up About Marriage Challenges and Success
Lisa Vanderpump, the former reality TV star and restaurateur, opened up about the challenges of staying married in the spotlight in a recent interview. The 63-year-old shared her thoughts on the impact of reality television on relationships, citing the pressure of self-importance and changing priorities as contributing factors to marital strain.
“It’s hard to stay married, especially in this arena,” Lisa explained. “I think some people get carried away with their own self-importance and maybe their priorities change. We see a lot of people jumping into reality television and, some women, they’re emancipated suddenly because they have their own career, when maybe they didn’t before. So, in a way, there’s this kind of freedom.”
Despite the challenges, Lisa credited her husband, Ken Todd, for standing by her side for over 40 years. She emphasized the importance of having a strong partner who can weather the storms of fame and public scrutiny.
“It also takes a strong man to stand by your side,” Lisa told E!. “I mean, Ken is constantly called Mr. Vanderpump and he doesn’t even blink. I think a lot of men would be like, ‘Woah, hold on a second.'”
