Serena Wong Joins Julius Baer as Senior Relationship Manager in Zurich
Swiss private bank Julius Baer has announced the appointment of Serena Wong as its senior relationship manager, based in Zurich. Wong, who brings over two decades of experience in the financial industry, will report to Christian Cappelli, head of Asia Switzerland at Julius Baer.
With a background that includes working in financial hubs such as New York, Paris, and Singapore, Wong is said to bring invaluable knowledge and expertise in the global wealth management sector to the bank. Prior to joining Julius Baer, she was with Kamet Capital Partners in Singapore and has also worked at JP Morgan Private Bank, the Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC, and French bank Société Générale.
Julius Baer, the second-largest bank in Switzerland by market capitalization, considers Asia as its second home market, with a quarter of the bank’s total assets under management and global workforce based in the region. Cappelli emphasized the importance of Wong’s appointment in reaffirming the bank’s commitment to serving the Asia region from Zurich and investing in top-tier talent to drive business growth.
“With her extensive industry expertise and deep regional knowledge, we are well-positioned to provide best-in-class service to our clients,” Cappelli stated. Wong’s appointment is seen as a strategic move by Julius Baer to strengthen its presence in Asia and enhance its relationship management capabilities in the region.
