Astrology and Love: When the Stars Don’t Align

A FED-UP girlfriend is paying close attention to the signs – the astrological signs, that is. She blames her and her partner’s different zodiac placements for why their union might not be in the stars.

NOT WRITTEN IN THE STARS

Redditor Formeracanthaceae2 is contemplating walking away from her boyfriend due to their different temperaments – and she has already pinpointed the problem.

“I’m a Cancer woman who’s been with a Libra man for five years. At the beginning, he was sweet, a gentleman, and treated me well,” she said.

It might have started well enough, but it wasn’t long until his true colors came out.

“When we started living together he changed a lot. He expected me to be perfect and never make a mistake. He would get angry over petty stuff,” she said.

“All throughout the relationship, he’s been saying we should go our separate ways but then act like he can’t live without me after,” she continued.

“He’s extremely indecisive and unstable just going back and forth saying that he loves me one day and the next day getting angry saying he hates living with me and wants to leave.”

LOVE IT AND LEAVE IT

Still, she remained in the relationship, hoping things would change.

After all, her feelings had never wavered.

“I stayed with him all this time and put up with his indecisiveness because I really loved him and wanted our relationship to work,” she said.

“We’re now living like roommates because he doesn’t really like being committed either and he’s okay with us sleeping in separate rooms and just paying rent,” she continued.

“He never wants to spend time with my family either. He told me again that he wanted to end it and honestly, I already decided to let him go.”

Eventually, she realized that their differences were causing too much of a divide.

“I accepted that he’s not going to change and I can’t be with an unstable man like him,” she said.

“As a Cancer, I need stability in my life.”

She took to the platform forum to see what others thought of her predicament.

OTHERS WEIGH IN

“Should I feel bad for putting an end to this even though I loved him? It feels like I’m settling if I stay,” she said.

Most people thought she was thinking clearly – but placed less emphasis on the stars for being the reason for the inevitable split.

“Girly, this has nothing to do with astrology, but yes, you made the right decision, he sounds super toxic,” said one Redditor.

“You don’t have to feel bad. The relationship is over because you are unhappy in it. That’s OK,” another user chimed in.

“Go build yourself the stability you need. That is the most important thing,” they added.
