Jonathan Groff Opens Up About His Dating Life and Being Ready to Mingle

Jonathan Groff, known for his roles in “Hamilton” and “Frozen,” has recently opened up about his dating life in a candid interview with Out magazine. The 39-year-old actor revealed that he has been single for a couple of years and is now ready to mingle.

Groff shared, “I’ve been single now for a couple of years. I’m feeling… ready and open for anything. If that’s continuing with that, if that’s a relationship, I’m cool with that.”

The Broadway star has had notable relationships in the past, including actor Gavin Creel in 2009, actor Zachary Quinto from 2010 to 2013, and New Zealand choreographer Corey Baker from 2018 to 2020. Groff publicly came out as gay in 2009 during the National Equality March and has been open about his journey since then.

In a recent interview with Condé Nast Traveler, Groff reflected on his coming out story, which was inspired by seeing Michelangelo’s David statue. He shared, “I started crying and wondered, ‘What is it about this naked man that makes me so emotional?’ I decided to come out to my brother. Only my roommate knew I was gay, because he was also my secret boyfriend.”

Fans of Groff are excited to see what the future holds for the talented actor as he embarks on this new chapter in his dating life.
